Network Analyst (Onsite 100%- Regina, SK)

Role Title: Network Analyst

Location & Work Arrangement

• Full-time onsite at in Regina, Saskatchewan

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Travel across Saskatchewan is required, including occasional overnight stays

• Rotational on-call support required in one-week intervals

• Overtime may be required as agreed with SaskEnergy

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Analyst to join the Enterprise Networks team within Digital Technology & Security. The successful candidate will support the operational administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, implementation, and architectural design of the client’s corporate and SCADA network infrastructure.

The role combines hands-on network operations with strategic planning and architecture responsibilities. The Network Analyst will work closely with the existing team to ensure LAN/WAN infrastructure is configured, secured, documented, and implemented in accordance with current industry and security best practices.

Responsibilities

This role includes, but is not limited to:

• Administer, implement, troubleshoot, and document enterprise network infrastructure to support continuous and efficient operations

• Develop strategic plans for network device evolution aligned with business needs and industry standards

• Provide expert technical support, administration, and engineering for network devices

• Monitor and optimize network performance and resolve network issues to maintain availability and reliability

• Plan, implement, maintain, and test network disaster recovery processes

• Support corporate and field employees by addressing technology concerns and escalating complex issues when required

• Implement network equipment updates in accordance with company standards and security practices

• Maintain system integrity through change control, problem management, and stakeholder communication

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop scalable and adaptable network solutions

• Maintain current knowledge of networking technologies, certifications, and industry developments

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and participate actively in team meetings

• Support departmental goals and represent Digital Technology & Security in alignment with strategic objectives

Contract Term

• Preferred Start Date: As soon as possible following contract award

• Initial End Date: March 31, 2027

• Renewal Option: Up to four (4) successive one-year renewal terms

No specific degree or certification is identified as a mandatory requirement in the RFP; however, current networking certifications and ongoing professional development are considered valuable.

Required Experience

• Minimum five (5) years of recent practical experience in network administration and network design/architecture

• Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License or equivalent

• Ability to work full-time onsite in Regina, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Ability to travel outside Regina, including occasional overnight stays

• Ability to participate in rotational on-call support in one-week intervals

• Ability to attend an in-person interview

Desired Technical Experience

• Spine-and-Leaf data centre networking using VXLAN with BGP EVPN

• Routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF

• Cisco switches and routers, including IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS command-line interfaces

• Fortinet firewalls, switches, and access points

• Fortinet security tools including FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiNAC

• Microsoft Azure networking including Virtual Networks, VNet Peering, Route Tables, Front Door, WAF, and Network Security Groups

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) networking

• Network security best practices

• Enterprise network architecture integrating on-premises and cloud environments

• LTE and satellite communication technologies

• ITIL frameworks and Change Management processes

• SCADA network operations and architecture

• Network technology deployment within organizational technology projects

• Relevant North American experience with provincial government, Crown corporations, Oil & Gas transmission companies, or equivalent environments
